Photo Guidelines

The following guidelines will help us create the best card possible. If you still have any questions, we encourage you to send us an e-mail at sales@bluehollyarts.com or call (856) 825-2962.
  1. The minimum recommended resolution for digital camera photos is 800 x 600 dpi.
  2. For scanned photos, please scan at 300 dpi.
  3. The photo should show a full, clear, front view of the person’s face and head.
  4. If you are sending us photos for scanning, please send photos no smaller than wallet size (2" x 3") and no larger than letter size (8-1/2" x 11"). We will return all photos together with your completed order.
  5. Glossy photos are preferred when scanning is required. However, matte finish photos will also be accepted.
  6. Please make certain that all photos (digitals or prints) are clearly identified with the person’s name.

Pull-Up Card Questions

  • I don’t see any samples that suit my occasion. Can you still make me a card?
    Yes, we can make cards for all occasions. The samples you see are just a few examples of cards we have done. We will be glad to discuss your particular requirements by e-mail or phone.
  • Can you still make a card without using the person’s photo?
    Yes, we can use caricatures or other images to represent the person or persons on the card.
  • May I use images or photos, such as a favorite sports logo or cartoon character?
    Unfortunately, we cannot use such items in our cards if they are copyrighted or licensed images, designs or photos. But, we can use any logos or images that are copyright or license free.
  • May I order a card with more than 5 characters?
    Yes, you may order more than the standard 5 characters. Each additional character and each different face will cost $1.00 each. For example, if you add one more character with the same face, this will add $1.00 to standard price of the Pull-Up Card. If you add one more character with a different face, this will be an additional $2.00.

Note Card Questions

  • Must I order one design or can I order a variety of designs?
    You may order any quantity of any design. For example, if you would like 2 of design A and 10 of design B, you may do so. Just fill in the form and indicate how many of which design you would like.
  • Can I order Note Cards with a custom design?
    Of course. Our expertise is in custom designed products. You may submit a digital photo or print photo to use in creating a custom card. Also, as described on our Artwork page, we accept commissions for drawings and paintings, which can be used to make special, custom designed notecards, Christmas cards or other special occasion cards.

General Questions

  • How do I know what the total order will cost?
    After you submit your order, we will review everything and will contact you by e-mail with the total cost.
  • How can I pay for my order?
    Our preferred method of payment is PayPal. If you have a PayPal account, please click here to be directed to the PayPal site. Sign in to your account and choose Send Money. Our e-mail address is sales@bluehollyarts.com, and our telephone number is 856-825-2962. If you do not have a PayPal account, we will send you an e-mail invoice with payment instructions.
  • How soon can I expect my order?
    Once we have all of your information, photos and payment required for the card, your order will be processed immediately and we will confirm the anticipated date of shipment. All cards are unique and hand made to order. Please allow 10 business days for the creation and shipment of your card. If you have a particular deadline and require expedited shipping, please make sure to advise us so this can be arranged.
